Short Shifter
I was wondering if anyone has put a short shifter on their evo's. So far i have not found them on people's mod lists.
I am looking into buying the B&M adjustable shifter. Just want to see what you guys have and your opinion which one is best.

I have a b&m but i dont have the aluminum bushings that go under the plastic case that holds the shfter. I do have new energy suspension bushings so go with it tho.

i had a B&M adj. short shifter (35% red.) with the metal (aluminum) bushings in the car and the two under the hood in my 03 8. Difference was like day and night. rifle bolt accuracy and nice smooth tight shifting. combine that with removing the res. pill from the slave cyl. and a ss clutch line and you will think your driving another car.In a much better way of course. I also had a razo 340 gram shifter knob to complete the package.

i have a b&m non adjustable and the underhood bushings from bushcur. i have to say i am very pleased with both of them. i found the stock shifter to be a little ungainly at times.
if i had to reccomend just one to do first though, i would say the bushings. i really like the solid feel of having them in, and i never have to worry about my shifts into second.

I had the B&M as well but it felt too notchy requiring extra effort. I gave it to someone else who never put it on. I got the short shifter back and now with an upgraded Shephard transmission, the short shifter is amazing. The shifts are no longer notchy and actually shifts like butter.

I just installed the B&M adjustable. I went with the 45% reduction. This requires trimming of the base, to allow clearance for one of the cables. I would recomend you have atleast a Dremel to tackle the job. Overall I am very pleased, its a big differance. It gives you that notchy feel and is more precise. Yes it takes alittle more effort which doesnt bother me in the least.
