My headlight motors are making whining noises (moving up and down repeatedly) whenever I have them on. They never use to do this, I am not sure why they are doing it now. Are they control by some type of sensor? Maybe the sensor is bad. I've seen this on a few 03 Evo's so far, anyone have any recommendations?

No they are not automatic. I have seen/hear mine do that a few times. Then I would just move them up or down and it would stop. Initially I thought it was my imagination. lol. Anyway, for some reason, it haven't done if for a long time now.

 

Exactly what is making the noise then? It is definitely coming from the headlights, and I can see the light pattern against my garage wall going up and down with the noise. Oh well I guess I'll have to figure it out and post my findings.
