why do evos dyno in 3rd gear and not 4th?

On a chassis dyno, however, you can only measure the horsepower being used. To obtain a torque measurement requires taking the RPM readings and reversing the above formula to calculate torque.

did you even read your own source? it said the exact same thing i said
and no, you are wrong. both myself and your source stated that chassis dynos measure Power. not torque. torque is calculated with the RPM and the power measured.
read jbrennens quote from your own source. it looks a lot like what i wrote.
