Wow thats weird !! I changed my oil yesterday too and I noticed the same exact thing! I have been using royal purple since I changed my oil the first time around 2000 miles, and now I have about 9000 so this was my 3rd oil change and first time I heard this sound. I took the car for a small spin around the block and when I got back it wasn't ticking any more. I really like royal purple oil so I don't plan on using anything else. One thing I just thought of is I usually fill the oil filter up all the way with oil, but this time I only filled it half way so it didn't drip down and make a mess. Maybe a little air got trapped in there since I didn't fill the filter all the way!
