Does anyone have a Nitrous cooled intercooler
Ok, i want to have my intercooler cooled by nitrous oxide (not freon, I know freon is cheaper i just want to use nitrous). I dont want the nitrous to go into my engine i just want to get it to cool the intercooler.
Has anyone dont this?
Anyone have a drawing or write up how to do this?
any pictures?
Advise what Nitrous system to use?

As far as a better intercooler. i have the best one that i feel is offered for the Evo 8, which is the Buschur Racing RACE FMIC. I also would like to know if it helps or if you can feel a difference. the main reason i want a nitrous sprayer instead of freon is because i like the looks of purging. also i was wondering if you spray the intercooler with the Nitrous kit if you see and/or hear the nitrous in front of the car by the intercooler.

I have the kit installed on my car. It does not make a very noticable difference during the night or when the air is cool. It does make a huge difference when it is really hot outsid, during the summer in the middle of the day. I spray it for like 3 seconds and it just freezes the intercooler, which makes for nice driving for about 20 - 30 min. It is cool to have a NX tank in the trunk also. You can hear it but you cannot see it go. You can buy a purge kit for it also. I like it, and it isnt all that expensive, for the amount of fun you can get out of it.

That is such a dumb mod. For one, how can it cool an intercooler for 20-30 min on a 3 second spray? Impossible. I want to see the actual temps taken of the intake charge to prove this.
The biggest reason not to do this is: What happens if the nitrous gets sucked into your intake while driving? You are not tuned for this. You can not predict if it will happen or not. If it does happen, you just caused a lean condition you cant repeat or control. If you drag race or auto-x here is what I recommend. Get a pump sprayer from Home Depot (the kind for spraying pesticide/insecticide) fill it with some ice and water and spray the intercooler directly between runs. You will get the most effective coverage of the intercooler as well as a cheap cooling agent....water.
My opinion.....
