Airbox Intake Fans
Just throwing this out there,
I have been waiting for Volant to enter the Evo Intake market for a while now:
I did a search on Volant and got zip.
May be there is a reason no one has taken them up on this yet but, at least according to their website, they are still looking for an Evo "test" car.
Their web site states that the participating car gets a free intake once production begins.
They are in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and want somebody who is relatively close to that area. Those of you in the Pomona, San Bernardino, and Riverside area know where that's at.
I live in Colorado or would have been gone there a long time ago to check this out. I'm a fan of the factory air box under daily driving conditions. (really don't want to get into a war on that, just my opinion).
I know a lot of people might not be comfortable letting a company develop a component on their car, but Volant looks to be pretty reputable.
Here is the link to the list of needed cars:
http://www.volantperformance.com/checkFit.asp
If anyone ends up doing this, take precautions to understand everything that will be done to your car.

I have seen a few of those "deals". Like you I live too damn far away to take advantage of them...
Someone will get lucky. But they don't get to eat Alligator, Boudin, Cracklins, or any other good Cajun food.

Ther's a little meat market in Mamou that has awesome boudin...worth the drive. I have an OSB mill in LeMoyen that I have to go to once in a while. If the mill-wrights there don't get their boudin from Mamou, no help.

Thought about putting up a blurb on the SoCal regional forum? How about popping in to www.socalevo.net ?
