Getting melted plastic of off a muffler?

I need to get the melted plastic off of mine. Does anyone have a good method to do this???

I scrubbed it off with one of those rectangular green cleaning pads (can't remember what they're called) and wd40, although I'm sure there's something much better than wd40, then polished it afterwards. Looks brand new!

Try acetone on it but try to gently scrape most of it away before you do that

pour gasoline all over it and lgiht on fire and run and come back when you dont see a flame anymore and wala
