Someone explain to me how getting a ticket in another state will affect your driving record in your home state.

I got a ticket in MS and just paid it, I live in TN and it never affected me one bit.

Am I missing something here?

It means the two states have deals with one another.

For doing 73 on the highway? I've never seen anyone driving 55 in a 55.

In Michigan you can hire an attorney to fight the traffic charges, they talk with a prosecutor & "make a deal" to pay the fines & forget about it or put it under advisement (meaning if you don't get another ticket during that time then your all set) They don't do that in Ohio?

i'd have to say hire a lawyer and fight this if you don't want insurance hikes, possibly ask for supervision, if you're granted that you cannot speed for like 6 months or so (depending on the judge) and it won't go on your record
