Coming from an SS and WRX owner who loves the Evo VIII

About this stock 13.1 1/4 mile slip. I feel this car is capable of these times if not better. There are a lot of doubters out there who don't give the Evo credit due to their loyalty to what they are currently driving or just plain ignorance. I want to see what you guys feel about this. You who actually own the car and have driven it. Do you think that this 13.1 1/4 mile time will be an abnormality or are you confident more folks will run very low 13s stock?

How do you like the stealthback exhaust on your WRX Wagon. I'm thinking of buying a WRX Wagon and would like to add an exhaust that doesn't sound like one of those stupid fartcans, but still offers a little more performance.

I honestly think he has an abnormally strong car. I don't think many people will be able to get below a 13.4 stock. That's still a very respectable time but I know for a fact with the best driver in the world my car will never put down a 13.1 stock. His trap speed was also 104mph which most people haven't been close to. 101mph seems to be a good average or 100mph even which mine did. There's always a few stronger cars built for whatever reason from the factory and he just was lucky enough to get one.
I'm eager to see what times he gets with similar mods that everyone else is doing.

I highly doubt many will run 13.1 stock, but I think that is more an issue of the driver then the car. People on this forum have already run 13.1s. And I would bet that some that have run faster in modded cars are capable of such times, but modded their cars before they had the chance to make 13.1 second runs. It's all about the driver.

I HIGHLY doubt I will run a 13.1 stock because I lack the skill, experience, and desire to beat on my car that hard - but I but there will be a bunch that do run that fast. I will probably only drag race once or twice per year. There isn't a 1/4 mile track within 2 hours of Minneapolis (someone please explain that to me!!!) and I prefer auto-x & track events.

Drivers's aside. Do you think the car is capable of very low 13s stock?

When cars are stronger than other cars stock, its usually not a 3-4 tenth difference.

How does you WRX perform (in the 1/4 mile) with "VF30, AVC-R at 15psi, BPM Stealthback, Perrin Uppipe, Blitz panel filter, Samco Y hose?" Are you on stock injectors at 15 psi with the VF30?

I haven't ran it yet. I will have a UTEC, Sti injectors, and bigger fuel pump on soon. Once its ready, I'll take it to the track.

Under good conditions and with a good driver that knows the best shift points low 13's should be reachable in any Evo.
