I'm new to Jers and up for a meet. My new neighbor has a Saabaru and is organizing what he believes to be the biggest Saabaru event in the world, starting with a Caravan in the Morristown area - will keep you guys posted.

Is there any way to put on the front plate without drilling holes?

I drove my SE-R for 4.5 years with no front plate, and only got 1 warning.

Going on a month with the Evo and nothing yet (and I did get stopped once, no citation for anything though).

i dont have mine on either, the only douches who pull me over are the cops in my town. now i have to take the back ways to get to my house to avoid the man, haha. been pulled over about 5 times, gotten a ticket twice. but i was speeding those 2 times, and he knocked it down to that. coulda been worse, i can't be mad, i know the consequences of not driving around with a front plate. stupid law, but you gotta deal.

There are some threads around here on alternative ways to use the factory holder without drilling holes. I don't feel like searching for them, but they are out there; I have seen them. I think it can be done.

Why not just use zip ties and mount the plate itself to the mesh in front of the Intercooler? That's what I have done as well as my friends. Use clear ones and you can't even see them. If you plan on taking it to the track and think it will block air flow and you will lose power, its an easy snip, snip to take it off. Very inexpensive and no holes in the bumper. Here's what mine looks like:

I got it done cuz I got tired of always getting the no front license plate ticket on top of the street sweeping ticket. Stupid ex kept parking my car on the wrong side of the street on the wrong time of the day lol...

People dont like to do this because it blocks the intercooler.

Read his post again, you seemed to miss part of it

He said you can take it off with a simple snip snip for track days.
