No, because there are too many made and they are non-homologated cars. There is also going to be the Evo9 etc and so it wont be a collectible.
The ones that truely hold their value are the extremely rare cars. Even the Integra TypeR holds their value pretty well. The ITR had about 1000 cars made for the US each year.

But then again, if you consider how many people go out and mod their cars.. the few stock ones left would probably be worth a bit more... who knows.. wonder what the resale value of these cars would be.

What is the ITR car.
I thought the Evos would be collectable because there are no evos in the U.S only for this year but from what you guys are saying it looks like Mitsubishi will build Evos every year.

it could be... look at how valuable 64 1/2 mustangs are, or cobras, or Sunbeam Tigers, or GTOs.... The Evo may prove to be valuable in the future, but it will be a while, and Mitsubishi will need to keep the fan base up by getting back into WRC and competing well - and keep kicking butt in SCCA Pro-Rally.

Yes it will be a collectable. '64 Mustangs are collectable and they made 250K the first year alone.
Rarity vs. desirability + race history + the first of a kind. The collecting will not start up for some years yet. But a well looked after EVO with all the stock parts will be a collector.

Still you'll need 20 years for anything to proves it's value.
