I don't think it was ever a joke to anyone but yourself, but if you say so....
This thing looks like a bunch of snake oil to me. It's actually heavier than stock, costs a crapload, makes claims that are completely unverifiable, and is tough as hell to install. This is going to be a hard sell, but good luck to you.

The following is a link to Dinan BMW. It provides some of the best information on what a harmonic dampener does and why not to use a "power pulley".

The stock dampener is fine for a stock engine. When modifications are made to an engine, the harmonics change and the stock dampener may not be adequate.

It is not designed as a lightweight pulley. If you knew what a that pulley was for, you would understand its purpose and why this is important. If you don't have a Tilton clutch, there is nothing you can add to this thread, so don't post.

Harmonic balancers are a very useful part of the equation, and should be used for all HP motors. In other HP applications they are considered mandatory. Different technology approaches exist -- Fluiddampener uses a silicone dampening system, ATI uses replaceable elastomer rubber dampener material, and Rattler uses an entirely different method, which looks very interesting from an engineering standpoint.
Unfortunately, there is only one choice right now for the EVO. ATI is in production, as TTP offers. Fluiddampener has a dampener in production for the DSM 4g63T, but is alittle ways away from production for the EVO 4g63. AFAIK, Rattler is not considering serving this application at all.
Rather than lose HP, most studies show that a properly dampened crank actually increases HP, and sometimes substantially, in addition, of course, to keeping your engine bearings from being destroyed, which some folks think is a very good thing all by itself.

Sorry for not researching the sprocket replacement part of this.
