Performance if Muffler to downpipe removed

I have a friend that has a SRT-4. If u remove the exhaust system from the downpipe back you would get a big HP gain. I will soon be purchasing an Evo 9 MR and was wondering how this performs on the EVO.

Also i would like to welcome my self to the EVOm forums. Best Forum hands down!

But what about performance gains? Is it going to kill HP or increase it?

That would be *LOUD*. As in... you would have to kill the motor any time a cop was within earshot.

people do it...

...temporarily! It will get annoying after awhile...there are other ways to get power without resorting to making your evo sound like a 2$ civic

There is no way in hell you gain a full second in the 1/4 by just taking off your muffler.
