Cross Country?

Im moving from GA to Reno, NV. I will not be driving the car completely across country, but as my GF is coming out with me we will be towing (on a flat bed type trailer) one car one day and then driving the other and switching the cars everyday to put equal mileage on each. Who thinks i will have any troubles with the evo or who has done this? I will of course be changing all fluids before i go out there and then changing them again when i get there. I appricate ya'lls input!

Her car is a jeep Liberty. I have no worries about her car. We just both got our cars and hers is higher mileage than mine (36k vs. 51k), and also, believe it or not, i get better gas mileage than her.

Of course it will make it why woudnt it. Why would you have troubles other than some rock chips. Change the oil before you go or after you get there youll be fine. Its got 36k on it and believe it or not the EVO is a pretty reliable car.

So the evo should be able to tow the jeep liberty with no problem??

51k is not high mileage, why not ship the cars on a 18 wheeler. It will probably be easier than driving and switching each car every day.

I would not tow anything more than a trailer for a go-kart with the EVO. I wouldn't tow the Liberty with anything less than a full size truck. The Evo was not designed to tow.... check it's towing capacity. It's probably only like 2000lbs or something and the Jeep weighs twice that much. The suspension also wasn't designed to handle that much weight.

Basically, the Evo is like a wide receiver and the Jeep a lineman. The lineman can push around the receiver with no prob, the receiver can push the lineman for a bit but eventually break down.

I wonder if towing a Jeep will void the Evo’s warrantee?

No to be totally rude, but the effort and danger involved make this idea dumb and hazardous.
