Just look up the specs for any WRC rally car. While it's certainly impressive, honestly, Evos suck in WRC. Citreon, Ford, and Subaru are the top runners, and Mitsu is an also-ran right now.

Great video - just a small sample of what we used to be able to see here in the States from WRC competition. If you like this stuff, contact SPEED Channel and let 'em know (it probably won't do any good, but it's good to let them know there are people who watch things OTHER than NASCRAP). SPEED used to carry WRC until NASCRAP idiots took it over. Supposedly WRC coverage is coming back here to the States, but I'm not sure who is going to carry it. I was in Germany last summer, and their rally coverage was a 2 hour show - way more in-depth than what we have gotten in the past.
Evo's poor showing in WRC: it was a brand new car and wasn't fully developed when it was put into service. It lacked some of the basic equipment that most WRC cars have - I believe it was paddle shifting. Before Mitsu's financial woes, the car began to do considerably better.

They are officially called lancer WRC 200X and don't even use the 4g63 anymore either. Think of it as a face saving device...
