4 clutches humm.. could be they are not readjusting the pressureplate height after a new install I went thru a new clutch because a performance shop installed my clutch and not the dealership. It was the dealership that noticed why I was always smelling clutch when driving. Good Luck with your woes.

It would be helpful knowing how many miles are on the car. Seeing as how its only a year and a half old you would think there wouldn't be that many, but you never know…But come to think of it, seeing that many issues across such a diverse set of parts makes me think it can't be anything other than driver… I could only imagine how frustrating it would be if it wasn't though.

Explain your typical drive.

The only thing I can think is abuse or the mod friendly dealership has terrible mechanics that f*ck up more than they fix.

The odds of all that stuff being screwed up from Mitsu and keep reoccurring are slim to none.

This seriously looks like an error on the part of the owner and slightly on the dealership. Four clutches in a year and a half.. Very unlikely, and even if it did happen by chance, then the dealership who services it must be on crack. No dealership in there right mind would request clutch after clutch to fix the same problem and many others to boot. That would give the indication to Mitsubishi that they are negligent in the way they conduct business. If you purchased each part, then I guess they wouldn't care, but then as an owner I must be on crack.. Why take it back each and every time to the same folks if I knew I wasn't to blame. I've seen some lemon Evo's, but never to the extent or variety of issues that you say. Modding will negatively affect the car if done improperly.. Sometimes its a hard lesson to learn. Good luck in your pursuit though.

Here's some advice that you should not follow

Make sure you have good insurance and a good explanation for why your Evo drove off that cliff.

To lazy to go find all the quotes so i'll just put the answers

Car has 42k miles. (it's my daily driver)

When i'm saying I dont drive it hard for the past 20k miles I was meaning I haven't been to a race track, haven't gone off the line etc. etc. But I would give it boost a few times a day for fun. I went through my 1st oem clutch at 15k (stock still) then went through an aftermarket in 8k (I think the shop messed that up) then got two more oems.

The dealer kept replacing the transfer case because the tranny would not stop leaking. So we gave up on it after the 3rd.

The dealer and all my friends know it's not driver error, they drive with me all the time, and know I that I know how to drive the car properly whether it's daily driving or racing. And racing is a rarity for me.

And just because I have mods doesn't mean I drive it hard. I just like the feel of having a modded car, and plus when I would go hard on it, it would do me justice.

Most these problems though happened when the car was bone stock.

But it's pointless for me to buy upgraded parts now lol cars dead unless a miracle happens. If for some miracalous (sp) reason it starts running again, i'll sell it and buy something else or save up and get a IX but I dont know if I trust evo's anymore lol.

Why would you mod a messed up car?
