hmm... Any way to add an extension to also cover the lower part? Like on the illustration. Slanted towards the car, sitting behind the license place mount to clear the curving of the bumper. The US crash beam is there for the 5mph crash requirements here in the US. Anything else and it will not help. This bar, by the looks of it, will handle 5mph no problem. If you can get this extension it would be perfect.

I doubt the insurance company would even know if its not the oem piece. If you get into a fender bender its not like their going to pull out some tools and check. As long as you dont spill the beans about it I would think you would be fine..
