Just wondering about this
This maybe a dumb question but I am just curious how a meth/alky kit is any different then just mixing it in with your gas. dont you tap the line straight into your fuel rail or fuel line? I know you have to be tuned for it to really help you out. And some would be wasted when not needed but what is the difference? Just curious.

Dont be dumb, I am not a retard. This is a serious question and I am just trying to learn about how a meth/alky actually works. If you dont have some sort of answer then dont bother me with your childish crap.

If you have to ask what it does, you obviously havent searched. You dont tap into the fuel line for one...Hell i dont even have an evo yet and i know this.

i dont know the kid but he's got a point lol... search search search.... maybe go to a tuner website or somethin and look at the kit and see what it says...

if you want alcohol / meth in your tank all the time, just buy race fuel all the time and then you won't have to worry bout consistency or getting the mix right.
the trick of the alky injection is that it only comes on under boost and is metered so the same amount is in the mix every time, so you can tune it and not blow up your car. If you tune on a mix with a little extra alcohol, and then run on a mix that is a little low on alcohol, the you will get knock / detonation.
I am also not sure if the stock fuel pump / lines / seals are compatible with alcohol or not.
Lastly, I think meth / alcohol is a dangerous waste of time and money, but that's just my opinion.

This post reminds me of the VW forums where someone posted pics of him Nitrous install attempt. He actually drilled a hole into his gas tank. People have to learn somewhere I suppose.
P.S. VW has some of the better screwups such as:
-Painted my rotors(not the actual hats but the rotors also)
-Running straight water through crankcase to clean gunk out of engine (had to rebuild engine)
-and the nitrous install tapping into the gas tank
Whats best is they all provided pics as proof.
Not hating on the VW forums, it just seems some of the funnier stuff comes from them.

OK so I did more searching, and like I said it maybe a stupid question, that usally means it will turn out to be one. I am not dumb enough to do something that could damage my car though without 100% knowledge of what I am doing. Thats why I am learning about this now cause I am going to do a injection kit within the nxt couple months.

Yeah I may not know a lot about cars but I am not a retard. I wouldnt do anything without full knowledge of its effects. So I did more searching and it's appearent why it wouldnt really help. I had to go to an STI forum to find the answer though. I plan on doing a kit some time in the next few months though so thats why I am gathering info now.
