i would have gotten one due to practicality and versatility and performance...i didnt really care what the car looks like. honestly the first time i saw an Evo with a wing i thought that was the most hideous car on the road. but now hideous = aggressiveness
i think the cars look better with the wing, but i took mine off to avoid haters from spotting my car from 5 miles away then wait under a tree at a parking lot so they could throw sh*t/do damage to my car.
it's ****ing unfortunate that the world we live in today is messed up to that degree imo.

I agree ^^ the wing does look very aggressive. But i would prefer not to have it (thats why i had a RS) and one of the main reasons is bc of people noticing the car and trying to screw with it. The US isnt the safest place to live..people are crazy!

I don't really like the wing so far, but I'm hoping it grows on me after a while. I've been thinking about converting to wingless, but whenever I see a picture it just feels like something is missing.

Without the wing, you have a lancer. The spoiler came with the car way back when it was a baby. It truely made the car. and thats how everyone knows its an evo..
Screw being a sleeper anyways, i would rather someone know im an evo and not mess with me.

Whether the car came with the spoiler or not, I still would've bought the car
Oh and btw, someone earlier said today that wing is not just for looks--um, yes, to a small degree, but it's mostly for looks b/c spoiler does create such small amount of downforce at small speed that its pretty much negligible. That means 99% of us don't even fully utilize the wing.
