My WIPERS Wont TURN OFF
ok guys heres the problem.....When its damp in the morning my windshield sipers turn on automatically and dont turn off for like 2 hours. I have to pull the fuse every morning and put it back in every afternoon. I checked the motor and connections and they look good. Any ideas as to what it can be..thanks

two suggestions:
turn the knob off...
OR
only drive in the rain...
But seriously, you may want to remove the steering cover and check to see that it is not broken in there from twisting to much or being pulled down to hard. I would guess that would be the first thing. You said you check the motor and connections.. which ones?

It could be the wiper relay shorting when it gets wet. When the engine bay gets some heat and the relay dries off, the wipers stop. Check the wiper relay and for corrosion on the terminals.

I checked all the wiring going to the actual motor and also checked the switch inside the sterring column. It only does it when its a little damp outside otherwise it works fine. I took a switch out of my friends car and tried that but it did the samething. I dont know if something is getting water in it or making a connections some other way....either way its being stupid and not working properly. I am the only retart driving with my wipers on ..on a sunny day lol.

My buddy's Evo did the same thing. His broke while still under warranty, so the dealer fixed it. I'll try to ask him what they replaced to fix the problem, but I'm pretty sure it was the wiper motor itself.
All these guys are laughing at you, but I bet they won't be when theirs fail.

Sorry, but I guess I remembered it wrong. He said his kind of healed itself. The dealer was never able to reproduce it, so he never had it fixed. It hasn't happened to him since!
I still bet on it being the motor assembly itself. I bet there's a small circuit board in there that manages the on/off/intermittent delay stuff. You should check the service manual to see where the switch wiring goes to. If it goes directly to the motor, then replace the motor. If there's an intermediate module, maybe that's the problem.
