high boost in 5th then a deep sound when i let off?? and SES?@?@!!!
ok so i was driving around today on the freeways and no one was around. i was going about 90 and i was like ok lets see what i can do.
(i just turned the boost up a little and in 3rd gear the boost was at 20 with a 18 taper. )
so i start at 90 im 5th gear and take her up to 130 and let off then i was crusing around at 90-100 for a few min. then i let off and go to 80 and there was a thud/deep groumble comming from the engine. and the SES light pops on
so im freaking out and trying to stay out of boost untill i get where i needed to go 40 mniles away and it seems like when i get to about 78MPH the sound came back so i let off.
i get where i need to go and shut the car off. and look around for anything that couild be wrong, nothing.
i get home and reset the ECU. what could have happened? i have felt fuel cut befor and this was more like a bogging down.
mods are MBC, LICP& TBE

i checked over everything that i can see with out removing anything. they all look like they are all on the fine. on the way home i was like ok if something is wrong then lets see waht it is so i got on in in 2nd through 4th and eveything seemed fine. so i cleared the code when i got home. i guess if it comes back then ill check it. or if the car acts up.
but as of now it sound fine. has any one ever heard of something like this?

no tune. well i think this might have something to do with it.
i went to the track on saturday and i put in 7 gallons of 76, 91 then 3.7 gallons of 100 then i reset the ECU and i filled up with 91 yesterday do you think the ecu was use to not pulling timing?
the odd thing is after the first time it made the sound the next times the car was always in vaccum and i was giving it almost no throttle just enuf to keep me going at the same speed(65-75)

...what ApexVIII is describing is the same sound/description as when my HKS UICP popped off on a hwy run in 5th @wot. Check you clamps. "Worm style" clamps tend to loosen over time. So, checking your clamps on you IC piping would be a good start
