ok, 3 years later I'm thinking about trading it in for a big truck

I've owned the EVO8 three years now and all of a sudden I'm having feelings of buying a big truck. I've owned many fast sport cars in my time and had no feelings of buying a new truck once. Maybe 2008 Tundra, Titan or go big and go Diesel. Am I just getting old or the EVO is just getting boring? Anyone have these feelings? Your thoughts.......

thought about a truck, not necessarily a big one, but drove tacoma, titan and frontier and couldn't do it. I think if I coulda found a tacoma x-runner I probably would've done it, but got the Lex instead. I just needed another vehicle as a daily driver and the truck would've been very practical. I think you should have both and keep the Evo as a toy.

I recommend having both (if possible). I've owned two tundras and a Tacoma. Tundra's are pretty cool... a 4 dr one is even more practical.. it's like a truck/suv all in one.

Get a truck if you need one or can at least exploit its purposes every once in a while. Otherwise it's a waste of time, money and gas.

The Nissan Titans are pretty beefy but getting old, not to mention really bad when it comes to fuel consumption. If you really wanted a truck get either the Toyota Tacoma (which my dad bought for when he's tired of driving his CLK) or the upcoming Tundra (which is what automotive journalists have been calling "the truck the Big Three have been scared of").

Be prepared for your friends to call you up and require your services whenever they move.

Gas prices are about to double again, I would stay away from the truck.

Where'd you hear that? I heard the complete opposite. Many are saying that by Christmas it should be at or just below $2.00 again.

Yeah, so you can support all of the foreign suppliers and parts companies that make up "American" vehicles. What's more American, a toyota built by Americans in the USA or a Ford that is made of foreign parts and assembled in Mexico?
