I just don’t understand what else you would want from a car which only cost you $30,000 and it puts you in the same rank with super cars. I mean come on. Show me any car which will get you in to high 11 sec ¼ mile with just basic mods.
anyways i agree with most of what was said. good job

If you don't want an AWD car, why even consider an Evo???
If you don't take an extended test drive to find out about how noisy, etc. it is, that's your own fault. I know some dealers won't let you test drive, but why buy from one of them???
If it's not fast enough for you stock, mod it. It's not like there aren't mods out there!
The only thing I'm really concerned about is getting use out of the factory warranty, but with what I expect are few exceptions, ours among them, it's true that most Evos are modified, abused, and raced, so it's not really shocking that they are worried about unjustified warranty claims.

i do agree to everything that has been said on this thread as i posted what i though of it not being overatted. maybe it's the younger guys on this board that think the EVO is the "GOD" of the road.
it has always lived up to my expectations... btw i'm 24. i just added that in cause i'm just curious how old you are turboIX, and hope you didn't get the EVO for it's "street cred".
