been searching around on the forums about the differant exhaust systems but havent really been able to find much. I have read good things about the ams exhaust as well as the bushur and hks. I was wondering what exhaust gave the best performance increases as well as which sounds best and loudest. I have a buddy thats looking for exhaust for his and ill hopefully have an 8 soon so ill be looking as well. Bushurs website offers 3 differant turbobacks with only differance being the muffler. anyone have any experiances with them? also have never heard of anyone with magnaflow but ive always like them in the best so im interested in them too.

All those are good choices cant go wrong with any of them I have the HKS and love it.

i found some exhaust clips on myevostore.com. i like the hks or the tanabe myself

 

I have the horsepowerfreaks 3.5 TBE and it sounds great, quiet at idle and a lot more tame during normal driving but it sure opens up under load. You can go to their website and get sound clips. On a side note I have a full 3" BUSCHUR tbe sitting in my garage looking for a home.

what is the all around best performing turbo back for the evo 8??

 

a 3 inch TBE is a 3 inch TBE...sure stainless steel is heavier than titanium.. but you will see the same HP gains with most 3inch TBE..

 

3" DP, 3" HFC or test pipe would do and get a titamium exhaust.

 

That's pretty much right on with a few exceptions. The only real differences are weight and sound.

 

what about the quality of the welds, and fitment issues? there's more to it than numbers.

 

which RnR TBE is that? to my understanding they have different catback/test pipe/hfc options...which set up is that? doesnt sound much louder than stok when cruising in car it seems...
