Here is a quick answer to your question which will be reliable until your alky kit fails for some reason at which point you are ****ed if you don't have a fail safe system...

Assuming you are going to get a IX...

1) Full Exhaust (~$1000)
2) MBC and Boost Gauge (~$300)
3) Alky Kit with some kind of fail safe system (~$600)
4) Reputable tuner custom tunning your IX (~$500)

Well, you got about 370-380 to the wheels @30psi for $2400 not including the install. Enjoy buddy...

1) is an alky/meth kit reliable and recommended for everyday use and does it lower engine life? If tuned properly it will be safer than pump gas...

2) is there a way to "switch" this option on/off You can install any sort of switch you would like for the kit.

3) besides a tune/flash... do u NEED any other mods, or can u run the alky/meth kit on a stock car? No other mods are needed unless you plan on running over 24psi and then arp headstuds are suggested.

4) wat kit is the overall best in terms of features and reliability? I highly recommend the snow performance kit, 55+ gallons of methanol through my evo and no issues...
