I didnt even know there was a recall. I was smelling coolant one day, traced it to this coolants line you guys are talking about. It was starting to swell, looked like the rubber is weak. Had a bubble like it was about to burst! Nasty mess if it did.

hey i just did my 30k service and after i picked up my car i really smelled some coolant, is it normal to smell it after its flushed? or do yall think i need to ask about the recall for my evo

Mine is leaking , not sure what hose its coming from very hard to trace it , you can smell the coolant leak. Mitsu replaced mine about 6 months ago , however its leaking again . Not sure if they will fix it for free this time ?

Already replaced mine, wasn't hard to do.
Optional:remove Intake pipe.
Remove BOV
Remove top section of IC pipe
Remove Top Radiator Hose
Remove Turbo Coolant hose
Replace
And reverse
45mins tops and doesn't require mechanical skills.
Cost 7 dollars at the dealer for the replacement hose.

Prolly residual coolant from the soo called flush on the motor that got cooked from the heat. Will go away sooner or later.
