if i bought my car after that recall date, then would i still be affected? August 22, 2005 was purchase date.

According to the Mitsu technical bulletin there should be a white dot on the front left valve cover bolt. Check out this link: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pr...ls/results.cfm
