those with the SSL evos...have you encounter this problem?

hey all, i have an 05 tb evo with the ssl package. about a week ago i noticed that upon opening the sunroof, there is a loud noise coming from it. it still operates normally, i looked at the rails and found some dust and leaf particles. i took those out and tried to open/close it again. the noise is still there, however it still operates perfectly w/o the sound.
just wondering if any of you have come across this problem before and if so, what was the cause? thanks fellas.

This is a common problem. Apparently not all the bolts are torqued down to spec.

Mine clunks a lot when opening-I'll have to check those bolt torques.

Try re-lubricating the rails

for those that took it in to the dealership for fixing, how long did it take? loose bolts would seem like a probable culprit in this case.

i dont think greasing the rails would help because when i was removing the dirt particles, my fingers got a lot of grease on it so it was plenty lubed already.

Never had that problem, I guess i'll have to keep in ear open for it. Is it difficult to torque down the bolts yourself or is it something that needs to be taken in?
