Ku band is not used in the U.S. even though it was OK'd for use like 10 years ago. The Valentine One already has Ku band detection built in but it is turned off by default because it isn't used by cops in the U.S.
The only radar detectors made by Bel that detect Ku band are the Bel RX65 and the Bel Vector 995, not even the brand new $450 Bel STi has Ku detection.
There is no such thing as a high end Cobra radar detector, it has already been proven through independent testing that they are the worst radar detectors made, have crappy filtering, make other radar detectors go off, etc.
If you want to learn how to program your V1 or turn on Ku band just for the hell of it. Ku band is only available on V1's with 3.619 firmware or later and it is option H.

Valentine Research, Beltronics, and Escort are the industry leaders when it comes to radar detectors and the V1 has Ku detection, 2 of the Bels have Ku detection, and none of Escort's models have Ku detection.
By the way, the Guysoflidar.com tested the Ku band detection of the Bel RX65 compared to the V1's and the V1 beat the Rx65 by over 2500 feet.

TOOOOO FUNNNYY!!! I just realized something, when a cop gives a cite, he's a FU$%#@^ A**hole..........BUT when he gives a warning, he is the coolest/nicest cop that he or she has ever met? I like this thread, and agree with it COMPLETELY...until you can find a way to SUCCESFULLY beat the system (i.e. Valentine 1), don't ***** when you get pinched.... FWIW... :-)

To the OP: +1.
Thankfully I got the idiot out of my system when I was just driving my stock civic. Multiple speeding tickets (only one that I will call B.S. on to my dying day), and thousands of dollars in court fines and insurance premiums later, I drive much more intelligently, and rarely, if ever, speed. My only issue was that for every good cop out there, there is at *least* one dirty one, if not more.
Example: I let my father borrow my bone stock, black 95 civic to run an errand (No custom wheels, no wing, no exhaust, no nothing!). My dad is a driving instructor for the DMV here in CA. About 5 miles from the house he gets pulled over by a cop, as the cop walks up and my dad rolls his window down he notices it's a 50 y/o man driving it, not a teenager, my dad asks what he's been pulled over for, and the cop stutters for a moment, tells my dad to have a good day, and leaves.
It doesn't have to be modded to be targeted. Complain all you want, there are good cops and bad cops. That bad cop is the one giving tickets for no reason, that good cop is the one who gets shot and killed in the line of duty, trying to uphold your safety. So take a few moments and think the next time you're driving like a freaking moron and get rightfully ticketed for it, realizing these guys work in a job that gets them and their co-workers killed on a regular basis. What kind of job do you have? Do you wake up each day to your commute or w/e and have to wonder seriously if this is the day you'll take a bullet? I truly doubt it's comparable, unless you're in law enforcement or the military yourself.

Or just observe the speeding and traffic law and leave it for track
I spun my car when I was being stupid, and saw my friend almost killed himself and his friend after pushing his car, we all learned valuable lessons...
Radar detector is +100, but driving safe on the public is the best beater of the traffic tickets(I know there are BS tickets though...)
I've gotten 2 tickets in 11 years of driving...I just got my 1st radar detector when I bought the evo.
Drive safe and enoy our EVO's responsibly everyone
P.S. Yes I do drive like a grandpa on public roads haha
