Question Is it ok to drive before tuning??

hi,
I'm about the put some parts in to my EVO 9.
HKS RS intake, exhaust manifod, turbo o2 housing, test pipe, catback, fule pump, cam gears and cam shafts....

actually, I need to drive to Atlanta,GA to get it tune, and it is about 220 miles driving...

is it ok to drive about 200~300 miles (with aftermaket parts, without tune) ??
(I know it will run crappy.. )
if it's ok to drive, will it hurt the car??

thank you.

you,ll be fine and can cruise 70-80 mph as long as you keep it out of boost as much as possible. you can cruise at highway speeds no problem in vaccum, especially if its a straight highway without lots of hills that would require giving it more gas which will increase boost.

got it from works... if you go for works spring and retainers it's under 1k, but if you go for corworth... will be over 1k.

you know ive been getting the impression lately that works has a well established name with concern to their evo, im just wondering if someone else feel similar-( ill be buying some of their products shortly and am now just stuck on whether or not their service is up to par.)

Works service should be good, but everything they sell is ridiculously overpriced - mainly the things they put their name on like all their exhausts parts, the O2 housing, etc etc.

You can get great parts for far less money and make more power at other vendors like Buschur.
