That would probably be a different thread although titanium is always the lightest.

In relation to stock, you can't get much closer than the StealthWORKS muffler. Even combined with the rest of our Exhale components, sound levels are nearly unchanged at idle/cruise and minimally louder when on the throttle.

Congrats if that's a good number on your tuner's dyno, but we really have no way of knowing because you've given us no frame of reference. What do other stock VIII and IX Evos dyno at that shop? I very much doubt any untuned Evo, however many bolt-ons, will hit close to 300whp.

the quieter, the more restrictive, the less overall power!

plus, you mentioned you'd just get a cat-back? you'd not be looking at a noticable diffrence in power at all over stock! sounds to me like your just wanting the "look" of a aftermarket exhaust and not the"performance"? if you were truly looking for power gain's you'd get a tbe....

oh i forgot to tell you that
stock evo IXs average 240-250ish whp @ Turbotrix
mine dynoed stock psi and those bolt ons at 297 whp untuned
if it makes any difference its a 2006 evo9 MR
before the ECUTEK flash

the exhaust on the butt dyno did nothing for me
the downpipe from DC made a huge difference in the butt dyno

I went from 240 at the wheels on a MD to 272 with an MBC (21PSI peak), 2.5" downpipe, an e-bay resonated test pipe and the RM01A with a very conservative tune. I bleed boost ferociously up top due to the stock BOV still being in place (amongst other things) and I could probably make it an even 290hp/290ft.lbs. with the addition of a BOV and less boost drop.

Originally I had the HKS Hi-power which was just too noisy. I did notice a slight difference between the HKS and stock, no difference between the HKS and the Fujitsubo, other than sound, before tuning.

I heard that it has a crapload of bass though and that it drones when cruising.

My Ganador racing Ti gd-792r is like stock at idle, a LITTLE louder than stock at cruising / light throttle, and perfect at wot if a little wooshy. It's not very rumbly or popy anywhere in it's operation and my guess would be solidly under 95db where it matters. It's 70mm before the single resonator opening to 80mm after and on to the muffler. The whole thing is one piece, only weighs 6kg, and exudes quality. Price, however, is an issue here.
