evo ix mr intake....

hey im lookin to get a intake for my car. im getting confused about the injen ic/intake kit and there short ram whats the difference??? i know that the short ram doesnt have ic piping but its just as much as the whole ic/intake kit?? also if you guys have any suggestions as to other kits and such please let me know thanks!!

short ram, the car behaves good as is, i heard many say intake sucks it depends on what your going for, cold air might hydrolock compared to short ram will heat sock, save yourself money and get a K&N drop in or a works drop in

Do not get an intake unless you plan on getting tuned the MAF on an evo cannot handle the scattered readings from an open intake. Without a tune you are likely to have stalling issues and just not run well in general. It will actually decreases your horsepower. The stock intake is plenty good until around 400 whp. Get a drop in if you want to improve the filtering. And even then you are not going to help much.

A drop in is the way to go without a tune

ok so what about the turbo xs short ram which uses factory maf calibrations???its on evomoto

if ur going to get an aftermarket intake, you will need to be tuned
