Try putting the car in 3rd at 1500rpms and flooring it so you can get an idea what a gt35 is going to spool like. On a personal level i'm for taking the stock turbo as far as i possibly can before upping the turbine.

After all if you can make a stock turbo do 11's just imagine what will happen if you put the next level of turbo on it?

Who is going to race at 1500rpms though....I dont mind a later spool up, I just need an idea from 35r owners where their spoolup is?

BTW that top mount peakboost turbo kit looks like it requires the use of a small radiator.

For my money that would automatically disqualify it as a viable kit.

But that's just me.

No problem....Its a tough decision cause that kit goes for $3099...which is $900 less than Shearers Group buy....But im wondering if that kit comes with oil/coolant lines?

Heres the thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...5&page=1&pp=15

That's the $900+ question.
If it doesn't come with the fasteners and such
than it's not such a great deal.

Here's a kit I'm very interested in.
http://www.vishnutuning.com/evo_Stage2_v500.htm
( great spool, great power curve, good top end )
A little on the expensive side it but comes with everything... even injectors.

Here's the stage 3 kit. price ???
http://www.vishnutuning.com/evo_Stage3_v550.htm

Plus if you want more power later you can install a GT35 on the adaptor.

I would not put any of those baby turbos on my car. I used to be on the fence about big turbo due to the lag factor. Now I see that boost is just a downshift away. I have raced (on the track) cars with smaller turbos. They usually take off but up top GOODNIGHT! Oh what a feeling. Im a Hiway man Screw the 1/4 mile.

Here's another real stealthy kit.
http://www.atpturbo.com/root/releases/release052704.htm
Most member on this forum bash this kit claiming low horsepower and spool.

Set up right these kits seem to be making some good power.

Here's a couple recent of threads regarding the ATP Kit.

I would use these 750cc injectors
http://www.fuelinjectorclinic.com/cart/mitsubishi.htm

I have this manifold that I would port.
http://www.4g63t.net/images/Evo_VIII...Manifold_1.jpg

I would be able to have a complete install for about $2800 installed
with my labor.

I could port the turbo flange and exhaust manifold like this.

I know lag can be annoying but for someone who isnt DDing and using it alot for racing big turbo cars will MOVE OUT. I like that so much that I could DD that and people do. Its all about what you want out of the car.

I agree with your last statement though.
