I need a new MAF for my 2005 evo 8 . Before i buy one just wanted to make sure that they are the same 03-06 . Does anyone know 100% for sure?

I had a long post that got lost..
But basically.. Don't sweat it, they will all interchange, I'm pretty sure even an 06 MAF is the same. Even if they were a little different, it would only be a matter of making a minor calibration change. Physically their all the same on the 2001 and later Evo.

I only answered his question specifically about EVO MAF's.. There are other alternatives if your willing to put the effort and money into the conversion.
His question was specifically if he should be concerned about what year Evo MAF he used to replace his, and the simple answer is it won't really matter, they are all physically the same (from 2001-2005 that I know for certain) and 2006 should be.
All of the aftermarket solutions require a conversion device (Karmann converter, Translator, etc..) which can be done, but its not always a bolt-on swap, in fact, there is no plug and play harness for any aftermarket swap.. I am fairly certain I have the only one, and its because I made it. But this sort of thing is off topic for this thread so I didn't mention it.
