Brand New IX Brakes Squealing

I picked up my IX SE ten days ago and the brakes are squealing loudly. They have been doing it since about the time I got home. Happens when I am braking lightly as I approach a stop. Today was the worst day of all and it is now driving me crazy. Car was brand new with 6 miles sitting inside the dealership and I have been gentle with it since I am still breaking it in. I see me having to take it in to the local dealership who I don't want touching my car, but I can't drive 2+ hours to take it back to dealership I bought it from. What could be the cause?

My 03 didn't ever do it, cold or not. Surprisingly I don't have the rattles on the 06 like I did on the 03. Brake squeal is a lot more annoying though.

One of the few draw backs to performance...I recommend drowning out the sound of brake squeal with the rumble of a turbo back exhaust, that will solve that issue

it's goes away. I have had my IX for almost a year now and if your car isnt rattling yet it will be. Its a drawback of the evo .

My brake pads used to squeal too when they were new. It stopped after a few thousand miles though

Its not the bedding process...its the compound of the pads. READ YOUR MANUAL...MANY OF THE INITIAL QUESTIONS YOU HAVE WILL BE ANSWERED.

The breaks do this for me when i first take off then break. It quiets up after a few times. Its normal for high performance breaks (brembos) to do so. It does this with my Civic (/w brembos front and back ) as well.

Like everyone has mentioned drown it out with a turbo back exhaust, It happens though I see why your concerned.
