bov seems stuck

My stock IX MR bov seems as if it's stuck open. Air doesn't sound the same as it use to. It seems like when I push the gas and let off, air rushes out immediately like it's stuck open. I took it apart, inspected it and it looks to be fine. Anybody have any idea's??? Help me...

do you have an intake in order to hear this air sound you talk about? if you have another local evo owner around you, see if he/she would be willing to let you borrow the bov to see if it is the culprit in this case.

if it's stock open, then you wouldn't have any boost.

do you have to vac line from the intake manifold hooked up to the DV.

when you had the DV off, did you look to see if the valve close tight. did you try to blow in it to see if it was air tight.

I think I found it. A little hole opened up on the rubber hose that connects the DV to the upper IC pipe. I guess it happen when I had my car worked on to install a clutch. Everything is good now.
