What are the best HIDS?

I have an evo 9 GSR. I want to get some hids for it. I looked around and people seem to have different opinions on Hids. So I was wondering which ones are the best. I have about $800 to spend on them.

Thanks guys.

In terms of quality I've heard good things about Philips. Something like this - http://www.xenonking.com/philips_6000.htm There are cheaper options out there but I can't really tell you how long they last (mine came OEM).

OEM HIDs are best, period, no ifs, ands, or buts

Phillips or Osram bulbs in 4300k (any higher is purely for color and rice IMO, light output is best at 4300k)

OEM ballasts- Phillips (hella) (most german cars), denso (lexus/toyota/some ford companies), matsu****a (stis, nissan, infiniti), and mitsubishi (acura/honda and mitsubishi of course)

Xenondepot.com probably makes the BEST KIT out to date, they properly rebase phillips bulbs and use denso ballasts

Other than that, id get OEM HID projector lights and D2s bulbs with ballasts

+1 on xenondepot. I placed my order with them on Monday night at 11PM and my kit arrived this morning already. Fast shipment considering they're in Canada. The cost is high compared to other kits out there, but you get what you pay for and I wanted geniune Philips equipment.

Check out the vendor section. Import Image is running a special where you can pick the 6k, 8k or 10k for $282/shipped. I hooked these up and love them - went with the 6k.

Can't go wrong with XenonDepot. I ran one of their kits for 5 years without a single problem.

that is a bit expensive in my opinion spending over 400. I bought some jdm hids off ebay awhile back for about 250 and they have worked perfectly. They are made in japan and are very good quality. The headlights are amazingly bright i am very happy with the purchase.
