New to Evo and tunners HELP

Just bought an 06 IX. Love the car and have a minimal amount of knowlege about it and hop ups for it. Im looking at intake exhaust blow off and a turbo timer who makes what and who makes the good stuff? Are there any shops in Nor-Cal (bay area, sac, fresno) that are good with these? I don't have boost guage or any of that where is my money best spent at first what should i do first? any info will be very helpful and appreciated. Thanx

you dont need a bov or a intake. A k&n drop infilter is fine. go with a turbo back exhaust, turbo timer, manual boost controller, boost gauge and a tune.

Dont get an intake, dont get a bov, and you dont really need a turbo timer. What you should do is first start off with a tb exhaust from any of the trusted compaines that you like. AMS, Buschur, ect. Go to their web sites and check out their "packages". That will get you started in the right direction. Also, Just do a little searching on here and you'll find out as much info as you need about your car

WORKS is located in the Bay Area although they're moving right next to Infineon. Try them out and you won't be disappointed.

Click the link in my sig. Get the IX package or at least be sure that you get those same mods. Do not get an intake, BOV, or turbo timer.

And, of course, as the rules state...search before posting, especially something like this, which is the most basic of basics and should be in the newbie forum.

You're lucky to live in such a big evo community with a lot of good shops and tuners. For mods, do some good researching here on Evom to find out what works with your budget and goals. Start with a turboback exhaust, ($600-$1500) a manual boost controller ($80), boost gauge ($50), a drop in air filter ($70) and most importantly a custom dyno tune from a reputable tuner ($550-$1000). This is the most important part of the process to ensure your car runs safe and strong. As far as tuning is concerned I would personally recommend Speed Element in Fremont, EIP Racing in San Jose, or Vishnu (see vendor forums). This setup gives you the most important combo of parts for the least amount of money. Once you do this you'll have more than enough power (400bhp), especially if your car's a daily driver. Have fun, and don't die plz!

Thanks for all the input so far. Does anyone know anything about Full Function Technologies in Union City CA. Apperantly Vishnu uses their dyno for their tunning, they seem like they know their stuff. anyone had any work done by them?
