EBC and weather
I'm new to the forums but have been reading extensively for the past month. I did search and the forum is just filled with all the answers i ever wanted.
One thing i couldn't find was, if i have an EBC (set at 22psi for example), will it spike or ever change with weather changes like MBC?
i'm debating weather to get a greddy spec II profec EBC or the hallman in-car MBC. I don't mind the difference in price as long as the EBC holds the same constant boost level in all seasons.
Cheers

Yes the weather will change the boost. It will make it spike. With the weather here i have to adjust it in the morning, in the afternoon and then at night cause of the weather changes. Get a electronic boost controller. They control boost better especally with weather changes. I never had to adjust boost on my turbo 240 with Profec B II once i got it dialed in. Im planning on getting a Blitz SBC iD to replace my MBC.

i wouldnt recommend the greddy unless you can fine tune it. i thought i fine tuned mine, then on the dyno it was holding 19psi while spiking to 23 psi. i havent had an MBC yet, but i'm getting one for occasions such as this so i know what boost i can hold and that it wont spike or not hold boost until redline.
I thought the AEM was only if you had EMS? I know we were going to use one at the dyno and let the EMS control the boost through the AEM tru-boost solenoid. Then again, i could be wrong.

AEM Tru-Boost seems like a solid easy to use boost controller and gauge. According to their website, it is a standalone controller.
anyone have any experience with it the tru-boost?

I have found that my EBC spikes to 24.7psi Max prior to that was 24.0psi. during the last 2 cooler days here in the high 50's... The car feels great. I just leave it alone. It holds 23 for a little while but as the RPM climbs it settles to 21-22...

I would have to tweak my EBC after the weather changed like 30 degrees. No biggy though... just a slight twist of the knob on my HKS EVC On my Nissan, the stock wastegate was set at 7.5psi and I kept it there 99% of the time. But once in a while, if I needed some more power instantly, just a quick hit of the button on the EBC and I had 11-12psi!
