Blew IC hose off this a.m.
that sucked. it was on the freeway too (of course).
luckily it came off at the throttle body where I could put it back on roadside, so I suppose that it the silver lining here...
It is staring to get cold in the mornings, and I am guessing maybe that's why the little extra boost pushed the hose off...
do they usually come off at the TB, or was that just my good fortune?

yeah, I don't have any aftermarket parts. so no idea how much boost.
I am not putting tbolt clamp at the TB, because if it is going to blow off I want it to do so there, where I can reach it.
with my luck it'd blow off on the IC, and then I'm fooked and have to get a tow or something...

Make sure not to torque the clamp too tight.
Another tip that has worked very well for me is to spray a little hair spray on the inner tip of the hoses to help with adhesion. This coupled with t-bolt clamps has held up to track days and hot Texas summers without a single problem.
You're an evo owner now, so don't forget to carry around a big container of zip-ties just in case

Oddly enough, I blew mine off after replacing all my clamps with T-bolt ones. Apparently I forgot to wrench down the one on the throttle body, it was only hand tightened with the socket.
Glad I forgot that one and not the turbo side of the LICP!
