opinions needed..on IX

right now my car has a hallman mbc (21psi), Megan Catless TBE, agency power BOV(fully recirculating at the moment) and a Stewart warner 30/40 gauge. The car has 1400 miles on it. Ive been readin up on the evo as im still really new to it(srt previously). I know my car needs a reflash bad but i wanna do a few more mods to it before the flash as i probably wont be able to afford to get it reflashed too often...

My mod list in order of how ill be purchasing it...( Please make suggestions/corrections)

-FG LICP
-HKS Drop in Filter/or APexi Cone filter??
-.....??????
-Then a tune!
-Clutch

Does this sound decent enough any reccomendations switch some stuff around? Anything thanks for the help ive honestly used the search button its just easier for me to ask my ?'s out right

You got man LICP, drop in, and a tune. I would suggest the walbro aswell. Once you get the fuel pump crank up that boost to 23-24 psi. These IX are great for it.

Would you consider going with a meth kit? That will help with your water downed gas

In that case then get what your were going to do. the LICP, drop in or cone, fuel pump and a tune. I am sure your tuner can help with the desired boost level. Have fun man and be safe

Get a tune...most mods are very unfriendly if you try to boost hard.

Depends what you want.

I went with a drop in because it's easier to tune when you get a tune, doesn't need a tune to start with, no installation hassle, plus I saved 100-250+ bux which can be used for mods to a monthly payment or w/e. When the pigs pop your hood your engine bay looks stock so that's one less fix it ticket.

Your turbo and bov with a drop in won't be anywhere near as loud as an intake sucking in air (I like the sound though) which causes more attention to cops or w/e.

However it's still possible I'd get a cone in the future

I think the blitz induction system like the one I have is the best compromise between the two. You get the performance add of a drop-in, a nice boost in turbo/recirc valve sound, and none of the negatives people experience in running a cone type filter (without a tune). That's just my opinion though.

Looks good, I would go with the Walbro pump just prior to tuning as well and you should be set.

Im here in Tucson as well. With a safe tune 21-22 psi is tops on this crap gas unless you decide to go meth injection. Too bad you're not ready yet. We are working on getting Al (Dynoflash) here for custom tuning on Nov 18th. He still has 2 slots open.
