Might of messed up my evo

I know i should been more carefull, I was driving real quick and went in a dead end street. I braked real quick pretty hard, I heard a loud crack.... from the driver side wheel. I was like F... I reversed and everything seem to be fine. I drove back home but later i drove it again, I heard a weird noise comming from the driver side wheel. It seems like a hear a somewhat whine comming from the driver side wheel (sounds like a small motor winding up). I think I might of messed up the brakes or something on that side. It still brakes just fine, It is not comming from the engine or tc. I know how a broken tc sounds like because i had a bad one before. I'll have to check on it in the morning but any input would be helpful.

Did you brake hard enough to engage your ABS?

I'll have to take the wheel off tomm morning and see if i can find anything. might off been something on the ground that flew up and hit he car. The noise might just be normal, i usually drive with stereo on, but this time i just happen to have it off.

Can't be abs because it is a rs. Car drives fine, brakes fine... everything seems normal except noise..

My bad...didn't see RS.. Thats what I would do...remove the caliper and look for what may be out of place...then work your way up the axle and suspension.

did u look at your rotor yet... you can see signs of your parts misaligning by you rotor to caliper spacing and also if you have any grooves in the rotor itself. guy above me said it right. after that check up and down the suspension.

Probably not the cause but... this happened to me back in the day when i had an Integra: I was driving in Manhattan and all of a sudden i heard the same cracking noise. Like something metallica snapped. Thought it was strange. Kept going and once i applied my brakes i heard a scraping noise. Like metal against metal. Tried my brakes a few more times and all of a sudden another crack and a loud whistle. Guess what that was? A stone got logged between the rotor and the pad and shot out after i applied the brakes a few times. I checked the rotor afterwards and i could see a small indentation from it.

I checked the car thid morning and everything seems to be fine, the brake pads are fine, still got like 50% or something like that. Might of been a rock that flew up or something, as for the winding noise, that might be normal. I'll drive it for a couple of days and see if the noise gets worst, if it does, it'll go into the shop.
