Problem: Grinding noise under decel
So, today I drove the car around town fine.. probably put 50 miles on it. No racing or anything, just 1 3rd gear pull earlier in the day. Now tonight I went to get some food from a mile away and on the way back I noticed some weird grinding noise when I'm decelerating.
Yes, I searched on decel noises and heard some of it was natural of the evo and some was baaad (Transfer case related etc) Now I was worried at this point! Nothing seemed to match my problems 100% so I went out and drove it slowly and troubleshot it for about 15 minutes..
During the troubleshoot I noticed it wasn't 100% consistant. Sometimes during decel it would do it.. sometimes it wouldn't. It sounded like something was in the tire, as it would do it at ONE point during the tire rotation.. so its a screech..screech..screech..screech.
On the way back to the house I made a right hand turn and noticed it was a loud grind this time.. so I began swerving left and right at around 5-8mph and it would only happen on a right hand turn. Huh? At this point I also noticed it was only coming from the drivers side front section of the car. I suspected brakes..
Got home and felt along the rotors and along the outside edge of the drivers side rotor it feels pretty rough. I cannot see too well as its late and my garage lights aren't too bright.
Along the passenger front rotor its a lot more smoother around the edge..
I'm not sure what to make of it? Is the caliper f'ing up my rotor? I am not sure if I should be driving the car tomorrow..
I could probably get some pictures later but i'm not sure if you could see it.
Additional Notes: Car has got 15K on it. No road racing, not MUCH harsh braking.
Help

It sounded sort of like how brakes sound when its metal on metal. It does this when I turn the wheel right while moving. If I turn it right while at a stop, car on or off, it makes no noise.

just take the wheel off and check it out tomorrow. take out the pads and see if there is any abnormal wear. Have you been doing any high speed braking in your 15k miles? I know stopping suddenly from 100-70 is worse on your brakes then stopping from 70-0

Well, I wanted to check out the rotor with the wheel off.. noticed something was incredibly wrong...
ALL BUT ONE OF MY LUGNUTS were.... fingerloose! I checked out the other 3 wheels, 100% perfectly tight.
I'm relieved and somewhat scared XD. Who is trying to kill me?
This explains why it would make the noise upon a right hand turn (Front left wheel receiving outwards pressure)
I have rotated my tires recently, about 2 weeks ago. I also did have a track day Saturday with 5 passes, but nothing was out of the norm. But, I did not check my lugs..
Really really weird, Ill be monitoring lugnut torque all week and see if it does it again.
Not sure whats up with the roughness around the edges of the Rotor, I guess its not affecting anything.. so I'll ignore it
Thanks
