believe the one that says "we wont cover it anymore" cause thats the only truth! with putting the money towads the P you are basically just paying less interest in the end...probably only a couple of hundred bucks. and a refi with that money down probably wouldnt gain much either.

Maybe I could (or should) just buy a nice system for it (along with a good alarm) and use the rest for my pc upgrades

Now you don't have to spend all 4k in one spot. If you want to get a little more power go ahead and do fuel pump, mbc, turbo back and tune. Put the rest towards payments.
You are better off in the long run if you just put it all towards the car. The quicker you get the car paid off the less interest your have to pay. The less interest you pay now the more money for mods later.
Don't forget to set aside an emergency fund as a just in case. Try to make sure you have 3 to 6 months in the bank to cover all expenses just in case you lose your job or become injured.

unless the interest rate is through the roof, a couple grand isnt gonna save more than a couple of hundred bucks in the end...IMO, not worth it. if anything keep the money as an emergency fund if you dont already have one, or invest it....that is whats left over after what i said in last post

there are a lot of mod friendly dealers, "no warranty" is not the only truth. here in socal , southcoast mitsubishi covers the warranty even if u have many mods, they cover it with a TBE, o2 housind, intake, intercooler, just if u start screwing with the internals or upgrading turbos, thats when they screw u . thats why im keeping stock turbo and stock cams and just upgrading all the bolt on parts i can do. u gotta find a mod friendly dealership and stick with there, also have them install some of the parts and they wont give u a hard time with the warranty, not sure if u can find any mod friendly dealers around ur area, but if u can , u should be alright regarding the warranty, good luck with ur choice!

So many choices, so little time.
But ya, I dunno if there's any dealerships here that would let me have at least TBE, HFC and IC piping, drop-in, fuel pump, mbc and a flash without losing my warranty. I'll ask around since we only got 2 mitsu dealers that are close to me

hmm
you gotta set a goal in mind, whats most important to you? faster evo, lower payments, or new car?
if faster evo, def spend 4k on upgrades (TBE, FMIC, alky/water, cams, couple of gauges, retune)
if lower payments, make 4k paymant, refinance, and stretch out loan.
if new car, be prepared to have to pay aboout 8-10K and give up your current 03-04 evo for an 06SE
