why? It did what it should do. the fiberglass body blew off (disipating energy) and the cage/chassis remained intact enough for the driver to survive. cars staying intact during a crash at high speeds is much more dangerous to the drivers. deformation (within reason) and shedding bodywork/suspension makes the wrecks more survivable.

Fiberglass!? You use fiberglass on flippin go carts and drag cars not bumpin and grindin stock cars. What are they thinkin? That guy wasn't even goin that fast.

Cars look cool though.
