are evo 8 headlight the same as the IX

i have a 06 IX MR and am goin to have evodave black them out, but i want the same looking headlight i have. from what i can tell the 8's dont have the blue tint in the headlight.

evo VIII headlights are not the same as the IX headlights....the IX headlights have the black chrome effect and VIII headlight come chrome.....dont send them out buy hte JDM MR headlights.... and there is no blue tint on any of the evo headlights.

i think the "blue tint" the OP's talking about is referring to the color of the low beam projector lenses. this is true - the IX's projector lenses are more blue than the VIII's.

yes, i was talking about the projector lense. i dont think the modding the headlights look that bad. and doesnt cost as much as the jdm headlights and you get the same look.

If I were to purchase a set of blacked out Evo IX tail lights, and sell my Evo VIII tails, what kinda hit do you guys see me taking? I dont want to try to black them out myself, because I heard its a lot more difficult than blacking out headlights. I could always try putting the smoked film over it, but I think the blacked out look is nicer IMO.

what i would do is pm evodave and have him do you tails!!!

and what i have found out it, evo 9 headlights have a bright blue tint on the projector and the surrond is in black chrome. evo 8 headlights, no blue tint and surround is bright chrome.
