viper 791XV all doors not locking

hey guys, im installing a viper 791xv in my evo and after i hooked up the doors everydoor locks besides the left rear one. And to add to that wierdness my back left light doesnt light up when i lock the car either. ive swaped fuses and even headlights so the fuses/lights are 100% fine. is there a usual area that is forgotten by us silly noobs that could fix this? Thanks!

you know the lights are separate (r/l)..and need to be diode isolated.

as far as the door locks, did that door lock work previously?

if you've done these correctly, check you alarm ground.

The lghts DO NOT need to be isolated if you pull the parking light wire from the bottom of the fuse box. It worked fine on my IX.

Aside from that, double check all connections and test all wires to make sure what you are tapping into are the correct wires. Ive installed countless alarms and have never seen one door only not work.

Good luck

do you remember the color.. I went off of the tech sheet, i recall testing the rest of the plug and not finding any single wire that controlled both lights. short of the physical fuse.

Vipers are very good alarm. I think we have about 7 different vipers alarm installed on our cars.

As for the locks, does the door lock when you use the stock remote? you can try to breakdown the problem more to get specific.

Try the stock remote, does it work or not?
if it does then you tapped in the wrong place. If it doesnt check if you fried the power door lock motor.

as for the other issue, Im not really sure what light are you talking about. sorry.

DEI is one of the most well known alarm companies on the market, so i doubt its a viper problem... its got to be the wiring or faulty relay or ground
