New Car buying, taxes and licensing?
I am going to buy an Evo IX SE within the next 6 weeks or so.
I am really wondering how much it costs out the door. I am planing on getting it in california where the sales tax is 8.25% and the price quote is going to be about 29,499.
How much will it be for just the taxes and licensing on this car? I am planing on putting at least 5500 or 6000 down and I just want to know how much more than that I should have ready when I am ready to get in?

Yea, ttl varies greatly between states. Here in Wisconsin the total ttl for my car was around $1500. If I remember correctly places like Nevada and California it can cost almost $400 alone for license. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

thanks Huy's Evo, that really is what I was looking for.
Now could someone tell me what exactly they (dealership) wants at the time of purchase?
Would it be your down payment, plus the ttl (2200 in Huy's case)?

Put as much down as you possibly can, and have the finance guys show you the monthly payments at 2K, 5K, 7K, 10K down, etc so you can see how much less monthly payments/loan length are with more $$$ initially. It'll blow your mind!
