791XV remote start 06 evo9
Everything else is working perfectly w/ the alarm, but the remote start tries to get going about 3 times (So close, pretty much starts then turns off), then the rest of the tries just gets no fuel at all. We tapped the tach wire coming from the gauge cluster, and hooked everything to my knowledge up fine except the neutral wire for the clutch, but when we tried the remote start we pushed the clutch in to just test it. Any simple causes or things that me and my pal are forgetting? Thanks.!!!!!!

sounds like you didn't bypass the immobilizer...i believe it shuts down the fuel if you try to start the car with no key.
try to 'remote start' the car while sitting in it...look at your dash where the "LANCER" gauge is and see if a light with a picture of a key pops up.

I just finished installing my remote starter and had a similar problem at first.
It would crank and start. Then die. It ended up one of the wires that you'd use as an activation input was grounded and wasn't supposed to be.
Other things to look at:
1. Crank time not long enough. Program the thing to crank for 1.4 seconds or so
2. Try inserting a factory key in the ignition area and remote start it. This will rule out the immobilizer bypass not working.
3. The neutral safety should be grounded.
4. Set the car to sense by voltage, not by tach. It's much easier that way. Then undo what you did with the green/white wire.
5. The hoodpin wire needs to be left "open" or ungrounded
6. You can bypass the clutch with a relay using the normally open pin and the activation output of the remote starter.
