Thanks man. I just recently found out that on the same day last year (November 2) I was riding with my friend in his supercharged Bonneville and we did the exact same thing. He wrapped us around a telephone pole on the same street but in a different place. That time we were lucky too. His car was totalled but we walked away from the incident.

sorry about your misfortune. many on the board suggest driving schools to learn how to use our cars properly. Maybe they are right. Glad you are OK.

I know, I had the $300 saved to go to a driving school but I was waiting because I had to get my right rear wheel bearing replaced on Friday. Then I was going to go the following Saturday with my friend.

I'm glad you're OK.

However, I don't think anyone on this forum is surprised to see a thread like this from you. Although it took longer than I thought it would I must admit. I'm not going to go the whole "rich kid" thing but, you seriously need to look at your driving habits.

You weren't paying attention because you were watching the girls in your mirror. Maybe you should have been watching where you were going instead of trying to see the look on their faces when you revved the car up?

You couldn't hear what RPM the engine was at because your music was too loud. Something you've got into trouble before and you already stated it 7am. A bit early for that don't you think?

Then to "fix" the situation you give the car gas to try and power out of it all Tokyo drift style. 9 times out of 10 if you just ease of the gas the car will regain traction and straighten itself out.

I don't think you're a bad kid. You're just a typical teenager who has a fast car, doesn't know how to handle that kind of responsibility yet and, does typical teenager bonehead things without thinking about the consequences. I know I did them too anyone who acts like they didn't is full of sh*t. Hopefully you'll learn something from this and move on.

Yea I know what you are saying and yes I am guilty of all of those things. That is why I don't think I want to get an evo again. I am scared I might end up doing something like this again.

I was staring at the girls because I really hate it when people are tailgating me. Even when my friends tailgate me, I slow down a lot to give them a hint to backoff. In this case I ended up doing the opposite and I have no clue why.

OK people who are local to him prease get in touch with his parents . This person should not be allowed within 100 feet of an EVO. No wonder we have one of the highest price to insure cars. Get a honda please... or better yet a bicycle.

It doesn't matter what you get if you aren't paying attention/ being responsible it will happen again.

Sorry to hear about the crash.

Cars are twitchy like that... Mitsus have a much better feel when you're loosing grip than say porsches, but even still, the difference between complete traction and no traction is like an on / off switch.

Oh yah as a side. Girls aren't worth it. They're never worth it. Just don't even bother next time. They make me so freaking bitter... I should just sleep with escorts and not even bother about getting relationships.

Hey man ull get throu it.. its just a car..

I totaled my first evo ix mr doing stupid sh*t just like you, and trust me i was depressed as hell for the next 6 months because my insurance didnt wanna total it, it was taking months n months to fix, and finally at the end of it all (car was only 20% fixed) my mom b!tched out the insurance adjuster n he finally totaled it! But durring that tiem i was so depressed i almost had to go to a psychologist.. no lie.

But let me tell u i learned my fu*king lesson.. I Hardly speed, I dont take corners fast, i dont do any of that stupid sh*t that i was so ammused by with my first evo.. because i never would wanna go throu another thing like that..

But im only one of the few who crashed n evo, then got another one.. But now i drive like a saint.. even when ppl make fun of me for going slower then them.. hey atleast i KNOW i have a faster evo, and i KNOW im a better driver/shifter.. so i dont have to show off anymore, to anyone.

All i gotta say is i hope u learned a valuable lesson. Good luck with the car, Trust me for ur sake, i hope its totaled lol. And glad ur ok.

But drive safe from now on! Wut if u woulda hit someone else?

How grown up.

I also bet you haven't talked on your cell phone while driving either.

He wasn't paying attention and he paid a price. EVERYONE here at one time or another doesn't or forgets to pay attention and sometimes something bad happens like in this case.

Doesn't matter if you are a teenager, middle age, or a senior citizen.

I guess everyone here hasn't done anything stupid while driving. Way to judge.
